Year 12 and Year 11 students will also receive their AS and GCSE results during August and may wish to discuss their Year 13 and Year 12 programmes of study or career path as a result. As for Year 13 students, the School ensures that staff are available to support and guide them through the period following the publication of results. The Careers Team, the Pastoral Team, the Examinations Officer and the Head of Sixth Form are on hand to support students. The School opens for Admissions, before the start of the main school term, for students transferring into Years 12 and 13 to discuss options with the Subject Leaders, Careers team and Pastoral Team. All students hoping to enter Year 12 or Year 13 are required to attend Admissions Day.
Any sixth form, or potential sixth form, student with serious concerns about their programme of study can contact the School to make an appointment before Admissions day if they wish to explore options.
There are a number of options available to candidates who wish to enquire about individual examination results with the relevant Examination Board. The Examinations Officer is on hand to deal with and process these queries. Further information may be obtained at Post Results Services.
Higher Education Placements
Students who are awaiting confirmation of University or Higher Education placements should log on to UCAS Track early on Thursday 13 August to review university decisions. Information should start to become available from around 7.00 a.m. Students should note that decisions which do not appear early should not be taken negatively as some universities have large numbers of results to check. Students who have placement issues or concerns should remain in school to discuss options with the Careers and Higher Education Team. Students should bring their mobile phones with them so that they are able to contact universities directly.
Programmes of Study
Students will have the opportunity to discuss options and programmes of study with Subject Leaders, the Careers Team, Head of Sixth Form, the Pastoral Team and the School Timetable on Admissions Day which is Tuesday 1st September. Should you have any significant concerns about your proposed programme of study which you would like to discuss before this date please contact the school to make an appointment with The Higher Education Coordinator or Head of Sixth Form.
Results that are not collected will be posted at the end of the day.
